Aravind Gangadaran read law with the University of London, with a focus on Intellectual Property, where he obtained his Bachelors of Laws, LL.B (Hons), in 2009.
Prior to entering the field of Intellectual Property (IP), he was attached to a general practice firm, and then subsequently joined a leading specialist Intellectual Property firm in Malaysia before finally setting out to form Primus IP, in 2014.
He has since served as panel legal adviser and conducted numerous seminars and workshops in relation to IP at various universities, public institutions and corporations such as Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysian Investment Development Authority and Rockwills Trustee Berhad, to name a few.
Due to his mixed parentage and being brought up in Malaysia, he speaks English, Malay, Tamil and Cantonese, thus allowing him to communicate, liaise and negotiate globally, specifically between the far east and the west.
His main specialty is in cross-border trademark disputes and office actions, and he is highly familiar with the registration of all types of IP rights in all major economic regions worldwide.
His hobbies are collecting watches and chess, at which he once won the Perak State Championship.
