Aravind Gangadaran read law with the University of London, with a focus on Intellectual Property, where he obtained his Bachelors of Laws, LL.B (Hons), in 2009.

Prior to entering the field of Intellectual Property (IP), he was attached to a general practice firm, and then subsequently joined a leading specialist Intellectual Property firm in Malaysia before finally setting out to form Primus IP, in 2014.

He has since served as panel legal adviser and conducted numerous seminars and workshops in relation to IP at various universities, public institutions and corporations such as Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysian Investment Development Authority and Rockwills Trustee Berhad, to name a few.

Due to his mixed parentage and being brought up in Malaysia, he speaks English, Malay, Tamil and Cantonese, thus allowing him to communicate, liaise and negotiate globally, specifically between the far east and the west.

His main specialty is in cross-border trademark disputes and office actions, and he is highly familiar with the registration of all types of IP rights in all major economic regions worldwide.

His hobbies are collecting watches and chess, at which he once won the Perak State Championship.

Chong Yu Bin

Chong graduated with a Bachelors Degree of LL.B (Hons) from the University of London, United Kingdom. Chong began his career as legal executive in one of the top IP firms in Malaysia. He enjoys a fruitful experience in the field of Intellectual Property, in which he found his passion and has led him into business and entrepreneurship.

Chong is specialized in providing practical and comprehensive legal opinions on broad range of issues in intellectual property, particularly in the matter of trademark, industrial design, patent and copyright.

Besides IP, Chong is passionate about developing and expanding businesses by way of licensing and franchising. He further explores the substance of franchise business and provides assistance to franchisors and franchisees essentially the franchise agreement drafting, franchise registration support and professional advice.

He has represented clients from diverse and specialized sectors that included manufacturers, pharmaceuticals, F&B chains, technology, and fashion industries. His clientele includes large MNCs, SMEs, listed companies and private individuals.

He prefers to work closely with his clients to meet their needs and suggests efficient solutions for their problems.

 

Natalie Sim

Natalie Sim is a Registered Patent Agent with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO). She earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of London in 2011, and her Master of Intellectual Property from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2016 where she graduated with a First Class degree.

Her work covers all related aspects ranging from patent worldwide availability searches and the follow-up of the entire patent prosecution process, from filing to registration. She has seven years’ experience in intellectual property and has assisted clients from various industries, such as technical, pharmaceutical and medical.

Natalie Sim is an active speaker and is always giving talks to entrepreneurs and researchers on legal topics relating primarily to patents, trademarks, industrial designs and copyrights. She is also a regular participant in international conferences and enjoys a reputation for reliability and exacting attention to follow through.

When she is not working, she enjoys outdoor sports.

Amos Ho Chern Wey

Amos obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of London in 2011. In 2012, he obtained his Certificate in Legal Practice. He read in the chambers of Messrs Eric Yap & Associates and was called to the Bar in 2013.

After deciding to venture into the field of General Litigation, he joined the firm of Messrs Paul Ong & Associates, where he was primarily involved in commercial & corporate disputes.

He has since conducted cases as lead counsel in the Federal Court, Court of Appeal, High Courts, Sessions Courts and the Magistrate Courts. He has recently conducted a multi-million commercial dispute which, inter alia, involved the application of the doctrine of Piercing of Corporate Veil. Amos has successfully defended the directors from liabilities. The case was published in the Current Law Journal and Malayan Law Journal: Ecopower Synergy Sdn Bhd v. Ecopyrotech International Sdn Bhd & 2 Ors (2015) 1 LNS 688/(2015) MLJU 387.

Amos firmly believes that there is no such thing as a hopeless case as litigation is a matter of strong dedication, determination and hard work in the attempt to persuade the Courts by crafting the best possible legal arguments with unrelenting spirit.
